The Lafayette College Pep Band
The Lafayette College Pep Band is a student-led ensemble that performs for home athletic events–primarily football and basketball games–and other College functions and provides a sense of teamwork, school spirit, and cohesiveness to support our student athletes and the fans that support them. At football games, the band performs pre-game and half-time shows on the field and plays in the stands during the game. For basketball (men’s and women’s), the Pep Band works with the Dance Team and Cheerleaders to create energy and a strong home-court advantage for our teams. The Pep Band travels to the Lafayette-Lehigh football game (when it is at Lehigh) and to Patriot League Basketball Tournament championship games. The Band played at Lincoln Financial Field when the football team played Temple in 2022. In 2015, the Pep Band performed in front of over 50,000 people at Yankee Stadium, and on national television at a first-round NCAA Men’s basketball tournament game.
The Pep Band is conducted and organized by students and is sponsored by the Lafayette College Department of Music.

We are currently trying to replace our marching instruments! One of our sousaphones was made in 1941(!) and parts are no longer available. Our marching percussion instruments are over 15 years old, and the harnesses are breaking and uncomfortable. Your support will help us upgrade all of our equipment, and that will help us attract more students and grow the program.
